Born in The Netherlands but settled after a peripatetic life in London studio. A self-taught oil painter and printmaker with work in international museum collections. The artist looks for ways to express those elusive questions of who and what we are when the mask is off, and how we appear when it's on. The shock effect of her work lies in the contrast achieved by combining her outspoken subject matter with the conventional medium.
